Post mortem for a jam game

So the entry for a jam has been submitted, now is the time when I can look back.

What went bad:
Overscoping: Metroidvanias are supposed to be epic, so it is hard to build something in month. I ended up abandoning story completely, scraped two enemy types due to bugs; no intro and i could go on.
Bugs and imbalance: Yes, they are here. Also as I developed it alone, I did not had resouces to show others and balance things out.

What went good:
Finishing: I finished it! I entered jams before, but could not finish game for one reason or another. So this feels good to actually finish it.
Graphics: One of my purposes for entering jam was to get better at graphics and pixel art. I like how my pixel art characters and enviroment turned out, so this is plus for me, I feel much better at pixel art.
Music and sound: I toyed with Fl studio, watched some tutorials how to make a synthwave and got out nice chord progression and sound. I was planning to not getting any music at all, but bashed together some kind of tune in an evening. I also generated all sounds by myself, that was fun experience making noises into mice and distorting it till it sounds a bit like explosion. :)

Overall, I am satisfied with my end result. I managed to pull out game in time, increased my pixel art skills and that was my ultimate goal for this time.
